Sustainability And Environmental Standards ...
Sourcing ingredients as close to home as possible is a top priority. Over 90% of our ingredients come from small, family-owned farms and producers in Oregon and Washington—businesses just like mine. To further reduce our environmental footprint, I offer free local delivery to minimize the need for larger vehicles, and I always combine trips to cut down on car pollution. Honestly, I love the days I get to make deliveries on foot or by bike—it feels like a small but meaningful way to reduce our impact.
I’ve also adopted a zero-waste policy, always aiming for minimal ingredients and packaging. In 2022, I proudly made the full transition to only using compostable, recyclable, or reusable packaging. The shrink wrap we use for all single-use products is made from corn and sugar, not plastic. Every piece of packaging that comes our way is recycled or upcycled, and we're constantly finding new ways to improve.
Being good to the Earth is at the core of my business, and it aligns with my personal values. I’ve always been passionate about nature and the peace it brings me. Knowing that I’m contributing to its well-being makes me feel grounded. That’s why we also participate in local clean-up efforts, focusing on microplastics, and are always looking for more ways to support sustainability. It’s a journey we’re committed to, and every step forward matters.
